PATIENT REVIEW TOOL

Horizon members are able to write reviews about their physicians and read other patients’ reviews using a Patient Review tool at HorizonBlue.com. Members are able to rate participating physicians based on their patient experiences by answering questions, such as:

• How would you rate your overall experience and satisfaction with the physician’s approach?
• Would you recommend this physician to your friends and/or family?
• How well did the physician communicate with you about your health concerns?

Before posting a review, Horizon validates that the member writing the review has seen the physician being reviewed.

TREATMENT COST ESTIMATOR

The Treatment Cost Estimator helps Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan members increase their awareness of health care costs. Blue Plan members have the opportunity to view cost estimates, expressed in a range, for various commonly performed treatments and procedures. Based on the specific treatment category and geographic area chosen by the member, the cost estimates display for each facility along with the name, location and phone number. This tool is not yet available to all members.
